Various important signs that would reveal the presence of sexually transmitted disease in women!!
Do you know women are more prone to contract sexually transmitted diseases or STDs when compared to men? There are certain biological, cultural and societal factors that would make a woman get STD easier than men. The pathogens would be able to enter into women much easier and that is due to the moist environment and delicate tissues of vagina and cervix etc. Sometimes, when a woman contracts STI or sexually transmitted infections, then she would have more asymptomatic symptoms. As a result, a woman would not be able to recognise her symptoms and get treatment at the correct time. It is important to note that in heterosexual relationships a woman could get STDs easier from men when compared to the other way around. The genital fluids in men would transmit the STDs much easier. It is noteworthy that social and cultural factors also play a huge role for women being more prone for STDs. The factors are inequality in power dynamics, social stigma, limited access to healthcare and education plus economic dependency, lack of control over sexual decisions etc. There are few examples of STD in women such as syphilis, gonorrhoea, herpes etc Various signs of STDs in women are Unusual discharge: It must be taken into note that any colour changes, consistency, smell of vaginal discharge etc could be a sign of STDs. Itching or irritation etc: The presence of STD in women is also indicated by itching or irritation in the genital parts. Pain during urination: Sometimes, a woman might experience pain while urinating. This could be due to STD. Pain during sexual activity: If a woman experience pain during sexual activity, then there are chances that she might have an STD. Abnormal vaginal bleeding: When a woman gets bleeding outside her menstrual cycle, then she might have contracted STD. In that case, she must consult a gynaecologist. Sores, warts etc present around genital parts: If warts, sores and bumps etc are present near to the genital area, then the woman might have got an STSTD. Presence of lower abdominal pain: It must be noted that certain STD`s like PID or pelvic inflammatory disease could lead to lower abdominal pain.

Every parent must be careful about these reasons for their babies or newborns vomiting!!
For every parent, babies or newborns are highly precious!! Parents would not feel happy seeing their newborn vomit. It is true that the issue of vomiting is a common cause for concern for the parents of the newborn. Occasional vomiting in newborns might not be a serious issue but persistent vomiting would reveal the presence of an underlying condition in the babies. There are several reasons why newborns vomit and these are Immature digestive system: Truth is that the newborns would have an underdeveloped digestive system. This could lead to problems regarding processing of the breast milk etc. This would result in frequent vomiting in the newborns. Gastroesophaeal reflux or GER: When GER occurs in the newborns, then it would lead to vomiting. It is worth mentioning that GER occurs when the contents in the stomach goes back to oesophagus. Once when the baby matures the GER issue would go away. Overfeeding: The small stomach of the newborns or babies would get disturbed when they drink breast milk of formula milk in excess amounts. This would result in vomiting in the newborns. Incorrect feeding position: The newborn would vomit due to incorrect feeding positions also. For example, holding the newborn too flat or too upright would not be good for the newborns. This would result in reflux and vomiting etc. Food allergies etc: There are some babies that are allergic or sensitive towards breast milk or formula milk etc. As a result, the babies would vomit. Gastrointestinal infections etc: It is a fact that the presence of GI infections would also lead to vomiting in the newborns. So, parents must be careful. Proper feeding practices to avoid or lower vomiting in newborns: In lowering the vomiting and in improving the health, proper feeding practices etc would play a huge role. Parents must refrain from feeding their babies with large volumes of food. They could provide small amounts food frequently. By this, overloading the small stomach of the babies would not be there. By holding upright during feeding: During and after feeding, the newborns must be kept in an upright position. This would in turn reduce the vomiting in the newborns. By making baby to burp frequently: To release any trapped air, parents must make their babies to burp frequently. This procedure would also reduce the risk of excess gas. By making skin to skin contact: The digestion in the newborns would get soothed and sense of security would be promoted when parents make skin to skin contact with their babies before and after feeding. By avoiding overstimulation: Parents must avoid over active play or bouncing etc after feeding their babies. This would avoid babies from vomiting. By maintaining proper angle while feeding: To avoid excess air intake, baby must be latched correctly while breastfeeding. Feeding bottles must be held at an angle to reduce air bubbles. By consulting paediatrician: Parents must consult paediatrician if their new borne vomits regularly. The doctors would be able to rule out any underlying conditions in the babies.

Can diabetic people eat mangoes?? – Important things to note!!
There is always a dilemma regarding diabetic persons consuming mangoes. Why this? The king of fruits or mango is a favourite fruit for most of us. The sweetness and aroma associated with mango make them very special. The question now is whether mango can be consumed by the persons having diabetes or high blood sugar levels? There are certain fruits with high fibre content, carbohydrates etc in them and these fruits cannot be included as a diet for the diabetic persons. Though mangoes are rich in minerals, vitamins etc and are considered as highly nutritious, the high sugar content along with high calorie outweighs the health benefits of eating mangoes. This has often led to a dilemma for those with diabetic conditions regarding consuming mangoes. Can diabetics eat atleast one slice of mango : Mangoes are classified as low glycemic index or GI food as the GI of mango is 51. It is known to us that with the help of this GI value we classify foods as per their effects on the blood sugar levels. It is worthy to note that on a 0-100 scale zero represents no effect whereas 100 refers to the anticipated effect of ingesting pure sugars. The presence of fibres and antioxidants etc in mango would minimise the overall blood sugar effect. Point to be noted is this would make our body to manage the influx of carbs and manage the blood sugar levels. Important practices to follow (for eating mangoes) for those with diabetic condition are By avoiding wrong pairing: It is good to eat mangoes but not to eat them with high carbohydrates foods. For example, avoid pairing mangoes with maida, pasta or any dessert etc as these foods have high GI. By eating just limited amount: There are chances of blood sugar increase in diabetics by eating mangoes in large servings. Hence, it is preferable to eat mangoes in small amounts. By not consuming mango shake etc: Those with diabetics must refrain from consuming mango shake etc as it would contain high levels of sugars. By consulting doctors etc: It must be noted that those with borderline diabetes can eat mangoes but those with high blood sugar levels must consult a doctor before consuming it. By not eating mangoes on empty stomach; This would spike the blood sugar levels in diabetics and they must not eat mangoes in an empty stomach. So, please take care.

Getting a burning sensation after eating food- Reasons & activities to do to avoid burning sensation!!
After eating meals or food, if you get a burning sensation, then you are not the only one!! These days, many of us get a burning sensation (after eating foods) that rises from the stomach to the chest or throat etc. This is acid reflux and it is due to the rise of both acid and food from the stomach into the esophagus. It must be noted that the oesophagus is a tube that connects the stomach and throat. There are several reasons for this burning sensation after eating food and they are GERD: Point to be noted here is that GERD or gastroesophageal reflexive disorder is a condition where stomach acid flows into the oesophagus leading to irritation and burning feeling. This could be one common reason for the burning feeling in us after consuming food. One frequent symptom of GERD is a combination of nausea and heartburn. Hiatal hernia: When the portion of a stomach pushes through diaphragm muscle into the chest cavity then we could get hiatal hernia. It would be possible to manage hiatal hernia by making lifestyle changes or medIcations. Sometimes, a surgery would also be required. Information is that to repair hiatal hernia, the diaphragm would be tightened and the stomach would be pulled down from the chest cavity back to the abdomen. Intake of spicy or acidic foods etc: In addition to tempting and making us feel excited plus making us crave for more, intake of spicy or acidic foods would also trigger burning sensation. So, please be careful. By intake of spicy foods, we could get a burning feel in the mouth plus other issues like stomach ache, acid reflux etc. What to do to avoid burning sensation: Mostly, many take medications to get relief from the stomach burning sensation. This issue could also be treated at the homes also. It is necessary that the person who gets this issue must do these activities compulsorily. Various activities are: Avoid lying down after eating meals: It is not good to lie down immediately after eating food. The bitter fact is that this would interfere with the digestion process in us. There are possibilities that we could get issues like bloating and acid reflux etc by this. Walking atleast 1000 steps: It is highly beneficial by walking atleast 1000 steps after eating meals. The advantages are good digestion, regulation of blood sugar levels and promoting overall health. If walking alone is not possible or boring, then try walking while listening to some music or walk while talking to a friend etc. Doing vajrasana pose: If walking is not possible, then we could do vajrasana pose for some time after eating food. This pose would assist in digestion. Those pregnant mothers and others with knee issues must not do this yoga pose.
