Its fundamental purpose is to develop, through standardized progressive training methods, a horse’s natural athletic ability and willingness to perform, thereby maximizing its potential as a riding horse. The rider is relaxed and appears effort-free while the horse willingly performs the requested movement. Show Jumping – Show jumping is an amazing, beautiful, courageous and fun fast sport that, because of the incredible, effort and also your heart of the horses involved, just has the ability to capture an exciting audience. The show jumping course tests a horse`s athleticism, agility and tractability while simultaneously testing a riders precision, accuracy and responsiveness. The relationship you build up with a horse must be based on respect toward the horse, not on fear or pain show jumping, competitive equestrian event in which horse and rider are required to jump, usually within a time limit, a series of obstacles that have been designed for a particular show. Arena Polo – Arena polo is an indoor or semi-outdoor variant with similar rules to traditional polo, and is played with three riders per team. The playing field is smaller, enclosed and usually of compacted sand or fine aggregate, and often indoors. Arena polo has more maneuvering due to space limitations, and uses an air-inflated ball slightly larger than the hard solid ball used in field polo. Standard mallets are used, though slightly larger-head arena mallets are an option. Tent Pegging – Tent pegging is a cavalry sport of ancient origin, and is one of only ten equestrian disciplines officially recognized by the International Equestrian Federation. Used narrowly, the term refers to a specific mounted game with ground targets. More broadly, it refers to the entire class of mounted cavalry games involving pointed and edged weapons (lance and sword) on horseback, for which the term “equestrian skill-at-arms” is also used.

Thyroid and You : 5 foods that can help you with thyroid management
Authored by Ms. Edwina Raj, Head – Clinical Nutrition Dietetics, Aster CMI Hospital, Bangalore The thyroid is a butterfly-shaped gland that is located on the front of our neck below the adam’s apple. This gland produces hormones that help in regulating our metabolism, growth, and developmental activities. When there is an imbalance in the thyroid hormones, it leads to several problems, such as altered metabolism, susceptible to weight gain, bone & hair loss, greater risk of developing heart disease, hormonal imbalance, celiac disease, and diabetes. This is usually referred to as hypothyroidism, where our thyroid is not producing enough hormones, leading to rapid weight gain. Hypothyroidism can affect any age group, which includes infants and children. If you have an underactive thyroid, then you may feel the following symptoms – Fatigue Cold Constipated Puffy face and dry skin Increased cholesterol levels, Stiffness or pain in joints Depression or impaired memory While patients suffering from hypothyroidism often find it difficult to lose weight, with the right diet changes but this is not a final verdict on your weight and health rather you can still work on your diet and lifestyle to shed those extra inches. Focus on mindful eating by controlling your portion size and balancing the key nutrients through different range of food groups with an effort to include nutrients necessary for your thyroid health through natural sources which are safe in your daily diet such as foods containing iodine, selenium, zinc, calcium, and protein. Here are five foods that can benefit you from these key nutrients essential for your thyroid function: Seeds and Nuts Brazil nuts are an excellent source of selenium and zinc that help in better functioning of the thyroid. Additionally, chia and pumpkin seeds are rich sources of zinc and make a great snacking option. Binge eating which is common among such patients can be controlled through oilseeds and nuts which is also a viable option and helps in your weight loss. Beans and Legumes These rich sources of protein can improve your metabolism, provide a sense of satiety (feeling of fullness) and prevent you from gaining weight. Eggs Thyroid patients looking to lose weight can consume egg yolks and the whites as it will enrich their bodies with zinc, selenium, and protein, which are essential for weight loss and benefits with stronger bone. Vegetables Consuming vegetables such as tomatoes and bell peppers can support thyroid patients in weight loss as they are rich in vitamin C, fiber, and antioxidants. Water and non-caffeinated beverages Increasing your water intake can help you with bloating, eliminates toxins from the body, keep your hormones in check and boost your weight loss process. A caution note: The road to recovery from hypothyroidism is normal. As long as a patient follows the medication regime, there should not be any complications. However, leaving it untreated can drastically affect your body, such as elevated cholesterol levels, subsequent heart disease, infertility, and osteoporosis. Several studies have also proved how thyroid can lead to the onset of other autoimmune diseases like diabetes, arthritis, and anaemia. Therefore, early diagnosis and proper management of the condition can help you avoid further complications. Additionally, it is advisable that along with a healthy diet, patients undertake physical activities like yoga that stimulate and support their endocrine system and boost the supply of oxygen in their body, which will help their thyroid tremendously. Lastly, avoiding alcoholism and smoking can help patients improve their thyroid performance. All the foods mentioned above need to be reviewed by your clinical dietitian and endocrinologist before going overboard. It is advisable to make a note on foods that interfere in the absorption of your thyroid medication and hence to be avoided immediately in the morning and spaced later during the day such as coffee, soya, papaya, grapefruit, and supplements that contains fiber and calcium too. Read the food labels of packed foods and include iodized salt, sprouted millets, and avoid using non-iodized pink salt to maintain your thyroid health. Nutritional supplements that contain chromium picolinate used for weight loss impairs absorption of thyroid medicine. Limit foods which are high in goitrogens (cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, kale, pearl millet, cassava, peanut oil, etc.) but not recommended to avoid completely as they have other antioxidant or cancer fighting properties and source of essential nutrients.

Forescout’s Vedere Labs details Deep Lateral Movement in OT Networks, provides Mitigation Strategies
The research by Vedere Labs is the first systematic study into adversary movements Forescout’s Vedere Labs, today released its research report on Deep Lateral Movement: how advanced adversaries can move laterally among devices at the controller level – also known as Purdue level 1 or L1 – of OT networks. This is the first systematic study into deep lateral movement, a type of infiltration method adopted by attackers to gain deep access to industrial control systems and cross often overlooked security perimeters, allowing them to perform highly granular and stealthy manipulations as well as override functional and safety limitations. This research demonstrates that there is a lot of ‘network crawl space’, that is, space that is not on asset owners’ radars, such as links that run between security zones at deep system levels that might not receive the attention they deserve. To close these gaps, an L1 device that sits between segments still needs a corresponding perimeter security profile. Commenting on the latest research, Daniel dos Santos, Head of Security Research at Forescout, said, “Unsecure OT L1 devices often become the target of cyber attackers through deep lateral movement, largely due to gateways enable direct communications between L1 devices on the edge and cloud platforms amidst the rise of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) that potentially exposes the soft underbelly created by limited perimeters beyond the traditional hardening at the intermediate Purdue levels. Our research deeply assesses the issue, which also provides the cybersecurity community with methods to mitigate risk.” In the proof-of-concept developed for this research, Vedere Labs uses two new vulnerabilities that we are publicly disclosing for the first time: CVE-2022-45788 and CVE-2022-45789. They allow for remote code execution (RCE) and authentication bypass, respectively, on Schneider Electric Modicon programmable logic controllers (PLCs) – one of the most popular families of PLCs in the world, used in several critical infrastructure sectors. These issues were found as part of our OT:ICEFALL research in 2022 but were not disclosed then at the request of the vendor. More details about the issues are available on Schneider Electric’s advisories SEVD-2023-010-05 and SEVD-2023-010-06. “There is little prior work on lateral movement for L1 devices, which has primarily focused on worms moving between identical L1 devices on the same segment or upstream hacking to L2 and above (e.g., from a PLC to an engineering workstation). We hope that with this new research we increase the cybersecurity community’s understanding of deep lateral movement and how to mitigate attacks,” said Jos Wetzels, Security Researcher at Vedere Labs. OT L1 devices such as PLCs are notoriously insecure. RCE has been demonstrated against many of them using techniques such as insecure engineering interfaces (see OT:ICEFALL), malicious logic or firmware downloads and memory corruption vulnerabilities (see Project Memoria). Additionally, malware such as TRITON has shown that real-world threat actors are both capable of and interested in developing such capabilities. The newly uncovered issues, summarized below, only affect the Modicon PLC Unity line. CVE-2022-45788 is an example of RCE via an undocumented memory write operation, while CVE-2022-45788 exemplifies a broken authentication scheme. As we explain in the technical report and demonstrate in the proof-of-concept for L1 lateral movement, when combined, these vulnerabilities can lead to RCE on Modicon Unity PLCs. With the access attackers achieve through deep lateral movement, things might become possible which magnify the impact of an attack. Mitigating the risks of deep lateral movement requires a careful blend of network monitoring to detect adversaries as early as possible, visibility into often overlooked security perimeters at the lower Purdue levels and hardening the most interconnected and exposed devices. Combating Heat stress and Kidney injury
Dr. Vinod Kumar, Consultant – Nephrology & Renal Transplantation, Aster RV Hospital Heat stress is a condition that results when the body temperature exceeds the individual’s ability to dissipate that heat which is typically above 104 degrees Fahrenheit of body temperature and when humidity is greater than 70%. It includes heat cramps, heat exhaustion, heat rash or heat stroke. Heat exhaustion is characterized by heavy sweating and rapid pulse. Without prompt treatment, it can lead to heat stroke which is a severe life-threatening condition. When humidity is high, sweating becomes less effective at dissipating heat and the core body temperature begins to rise. Heat illness usually affects multiple organs including kidneys. Infants and young children, teenage athletes and elderly population with pre-existing illnesses like her disease are at high risk for heat stroke. Heat stroke results from exposure to extreme heat resulting in hyperthermia with the temperature of more than 104 deg F, that can lead to delirium, coma, seizures and multi-organ failure. Heat stroke can occur during extreme heat waves and also in association with extreme exercise or labor, which is termed as Exertional heat stroke. Heat stress affects kidneys in multiple ways. Predominantly it causes severe dehydration, low blood pressure and reduced perfusion to the kidneys resulting in acute kidney injury. Heat stress can cause breakdown of muscle tissue (rhabdomyolysis) which releases a protein called myoglobin, that can cause damage to the tubules inside the kidneys. During severe episodes of heat stroke, heart failure and shock can cause acute kidney injury. There can be heat-induced direct inflammatory injury to the kidneys. Heat stress related kidney injury is worsened by higher core temperatures, dehydration, longer work duration, muscle damaging exercise, and consumption of beverages. Many of the manual workers who work under extremely hot conditions in various hot regions in the world can manifest with chronic kidney disease which is termed as ‘heat stress nephropathy’. It happens due to repeated episodes of acute kidney injury due to subclinical or clinical heat stroke. Heat stress also predisposes to the formation of kidney stones. Dehydration due to heat stress results in urinary concentration and low urine volumes that increase the risk for stones. Urinary tract infections may also be related to underhydration. How to counter heat stress · Immediately shift the patient suspected to have heat stress to a cooler environment. · External cooling by means of mists plus fan, cool shower or put in cool tub of water, · Ice packs to the head and neck, remove clothing and applying cool compresses · Ice bath can also be used · Adequate hydration is also very important.

The Majority of Business Cyber Security Decisions are Made Without Insight into the Attacker, According to New Mandiant Report
Global survey of cyber security decision makers finds that while nearly all respondents are satisfied with the quality of their threat intelligence, nearly half struggle with effectively applying it Mandiant Inc. today unveiled the findings of its “Global Perspectives on Threat Intelligence” report, which provides new insight into how organizations navigate the increasingly complex threat landscape. The report is based on a global survey of 1,350 cyber security decision makers across 13 countries and 18 sectors, which includes 100 organizations from India. Operationalizing intelligence: an identified challenge Despite the widespread belief that understanding the cyber threat actors who could be targeting their organization is important, 75% of respondents in India (79% of respondents globally) stated that their organizations make the majority of cyber security decisions without insights into the threat actor that is targeting them. While the report found that nearly all respondents globally (96%) were satisfied with the quality of threat intelligence their organization is using, respondents declared effectively applying that intelligence throughout the security organization to be one of their greatest challenges (47%). Further, 98% of those surveyed in India (98% of respondents globally) said they need to be faster at implementing changes to their cyber security strategy based on available threat intelligence. Underestimating the threat According to the survey, 66% of cyber security decision makers in India (67% of global respondents) believe senior leadership teams still underestimate the cyber threat posed to their organizations, while more than two-thirds of global respondents (68%) agree their organization needs to improve its understanding of the threat landscape. However, despite these concerns, security decision-makers remain optimistic regarding the effectiveness of their cyber defences. When asked about confidence in whether their organization is fully prepared to defend itself against different cyber security events, respondents globally felt most confident in tackling financially motivated threats, such as ransomware (91%), followed by those conducted by a hacktivist actor (89%) and nation-state actor (83%). Respondents in India, however, had a different take on this. Only 43% of security decision-makers are very confident that their organisation is fully prepared to defend itself against a significant cybersecurity event caused due to hacktivist actors. Against financially motivated attacks (e.g. ransomware), just over half (54%) of the respondents feel very confident that their organisation is fully prepared to defend themselves. Further, just over half of respondents, globally (53%) felt they could prove to their senior leadership team that their organization has a highly effective cyber security program. Other key findings: When asked to rank which countries their organization would be unable to fully defend itself against, more than half of respondents globally (57%) said Russia, followed by China (53%), North Korea (52%) and Iran (44%). Given the geopolitical sentiments in India, 68% organizations in India believe that they would not be able to fully defend against attack from China, followed by Russia (61%). Cyber security, globally, is only discussed on average once every four or five weeks with various departments within organizations, including the board, members of the C-suite and other senior stakeholders. This cadence is even less frequent for groups such as investors, where the average rises to once every seven weeks. 50% of respondents in India (33% globally) reported that their organization had suffered a significant cyber attack in the past 12 months, defined as one that has caused demonstrable harm. Only 38% of security teams globally share threat intelligence with a wider group of employees for risk awareness. A majority (79%) of respondents globally relayed that their organization could focus more time and energy on identifying critical trends. Resources Access the full “Global Perspectives on Threat Intelligence” report and analysis here: https://www.mandiant.com/global-perspectives-on-threat-intelligence Quotes Sandra Joyce, Vice President, Mandiant Intelligence at Google Cloud comments: “A conventional, check-the-box mindset isn’t enough to defend against today’s well-resourced and dynamic adversaries. Security teams are outwardly confident, but often struggle to keep pace with the rapidly changing threat landscape. They crave actionable information that can be applied throughout their organization.” Joyce continued, “As our ‘Global Perspectives on Threat Intelligence’ report demonstrates, security teams are concerned that senior leaders don’t fully grasp the nature of the threat. This means that critical cyber security decisions are being made without insights into the adversary and their tactics.” Commenting on the report, Subhendu Sahu, General Manager, India, Mandiant – Google Cloud said, “In this rapidly changing threat landscape, organizations, especially in India, are realizing the value of a sound cyber defence infrastructure. It is imperative for leaders and security teams to work towards implementing a strong cyber security posture. Cyber attackers are continuously evolving to find new and innovative ways to breach organizational defences. Failing to prioritize all aspects of cyber defence, including threat intelligence, will undoubtedly leave organizations vulnerable. The ‘Global Perspectives on Threat Intelligence’ report aims to bridge this gap by bringing to light crucial insights for organizations in the war against cyber crime.” END Survey Methodology: Commissioned by Mandiant, the “Global Perspectives on Threat Intelligence” survey was conducted by Vanson Bourne, a global market research firm, between August and September 2022. Feedback was obtained from 1,350 IT security decision makers across EMEA, North America and JAPAC at organizations with 1,000+ employees. This Valentine’s day, 40000 plus young doctors are looking to match with the perfect study partner
The ‘Will You Marrow Me’ program by DailyRounds has successfully matched thousands of students, every year with the right study partner to enable frictionless learning This Valentine’s day, Marrow by DailyRounds, the most preferred learning platform for medical students and practitioners, decided to notch up the matchmaking game with a different intent. As the world celebrates ‘the day of love’, doctors are looking at furthering the love for their profession with the right study partner. DailyRounds is used by over 80 percent of the medical community in India for continuous medical education with the goal of realizing better healthcare outcomes. However, the busy schedule of a medical student filled with exams, postings and large syllabus can often leave little room for personal pursuits, including finding love. Finding a solution to this lonely reality, the Will You Marrow Me program was launched three years ago, and has successfully matched over a lakh students till date with their dream study buddy. The program initiated by DailyRounds, encourages students to connect with like-minded individuals and study together to achieve academic success. By answering a few questions about their study style, students can register for the program and the algorithm will determine the partner that best fits each student. “It would be great to have someone who is going through the same stages in life as me, going through the same struggles, so I filled out the form & was matched with Vijay. I honestly don’t think I would have cleared the exam if he wasn’t there,” says Dr. Mehak Goel, who was matched with Dr. Vijay Vatvani through the program two years ago. This February, almost 50,000 medical students across the country participated in this program to find a “perfect” partner to study with! How to plan using the ABC method?
The ABC method is a prioritization technique that helps individuals prioritize tasks based on their level of importance and urgency. In this method, tasks are assigned a letter (A, B, or C) based on the following criteria: A tasks: Urgent and important tasks that need to be completed as soon as possible. These tasks typically have a deadline or a direct impact on your personal or professional goals. B tasks: Important tasks that are not urgent. These tasks are typically related to long-term goals and should be completed after A tasks are taken care of. C tasks: Tasks that are neither urgent nor important and can be deferred or delegated. Using the ABC method can help you prioritize your tasks effectively and ensure that you are focusing on the most important and urgent tasks first. Additionally, it can help reduce stress by ensuring that you are not overlooking important tasks and can help you feel more in control of your time.

Plan your day efficiently by following these steps!
Planning your day can help you prioritize your tasks, stay organized, and feel more in control of your time. Here are some steps you can follow to effectively plan your day: 1. Review your schedule: Review your calendar, appointments, and to-do list to get a clear picture of what you need to accomplish for the day. 2. Prioritize your tasks: Decide which tasks are most important and need to be done first. Use the “ABC” method, where “A” tasks are urgent and important, “B” tasks are important but not urgent, and “C” tasks are neither urgent nor important. 3. Allocate your time: Based on the priorities you have set, allocate time slots for each task. Be realistic about the time it will take to complete each task, and don`t overcommit yourself. 4. Break tasks down into smaller steps: Large tasks can seem overwhelming, so breaking them down into smaller, more manageable steps can make them easier to accomplish. 5. Use a planner or calendar: Write down your schedule and tasks in a planner or calendar. Having a physical record of your plans can help you stay on track and make adjustments as needed. 6. Review and adjust: At the end of the day, take a few minutes to review what you accomplished and what still needs to be done. This will help you adjust your plans for the next day if necessary. Remember, planning your day is an ongoing process, and it`s okay to make changes as needed. The key is to stay flexible, prioritize, and be mindful of how you spend your time.

The campaign that is set to enthrall audiences this summer is accompanied with a quirky and exciting film that reinstates the brand’s ‘Energy Bole Toh Sting®’ positioning. The film begins in a chemistry lab set up in a college with a grouchy professor reviewing science projects. One after the other, students present their innovative prototypes – only to receive an unimpressed response from the professor. The grumpy professor, hellbent on disliking every project, is stunned as Akshay Kumar enters with his project powered by Sting® Energy! A sip of the electrifying Sting® was all it took for Akshay to turn the laboratory upside down, leaving the professor stunned and dumbfounded.
